SmackDown superstar Ember Moon is on leave due to an injury. Dave Meltzer, a Wrestling Observer journalist, has reported on his last radio show that Moon recently suffered a leg injury that could well be related to the ankle or Achilles tendon.
The journalist has not been able to specify the type of injury, but he has revealed that a source would have informed him that she could be out of action for an important period of time.
The last appearance of Ember Moon on television came at the Monday Night Raw event held on September 23. In that show she fought and lost to Lacey Evans, who took the victory by submission after applying Women’s Right and Sharpshooter.
It is not the first time that Ember Moon suffered an injury in 2019. During the Royal Women’s Battle celebration, in Royal Rumble, she suffered an elbow injury that kept her away from the ring until WrestleMania 35.
“Last year, when I entered the Royal Rumble, fought with one arm and this year was no different, “Moon said in the Monday Night Raw recordings after Royal Rumble. “Unfortunately, I injured my elbow and now I have to undergo immediate surgery. It is difficult to be here right now and see everyone competing knowing that I will be in the stands. I don’t know how long I will be off, but it will be for a while. I’m trying to be positive in this situation. Hopefully, everything goes well and see you soon. “
After her return, she had a great opportunity to win the women’s title on the main roster for the first time at SummerSlam, but she was defeated by Bayley. Subsequently, she continued to fight regularly on television, but spent almost a month without winning a match before being injured.
